What was it like moving all the way from Portugal to Birmingham? Moving to birmingam was, at the beginning, a funny experience because i came with my boyfriend and he stayed here with me for a week. The first impression I had, of Birmingham, was that the city was (had a) very dark and metal city and alternative (music scene) and i loved it. I think that it was easy to adapt myself to a different country and city. My boyfriend left me here to stay on my own, because he had to work in Portugal, on the first day after I left the airport I was so scared but as I am sharing a flat with a Portugeese girl it was easier to find a place in the city and I'm really enjoying it. At the beginning I thought I'd miss my family and friends so much but that is not happening and I think it's quite good for me because I can concentrate on my studies and I'm not thinking too much about my family or friends.
